Manifest, a non-profit men’s wellness community, empowers men to pursue their wellness visions & passions together in more than 18 programs weekly (listed below).  Please check our web calendar for the latest schedule of our programs.  Or click on the name of any program below you’re interested in for more information or to register for that program..

MONDAYS

THERAPEUTIC YOGA & MEDITATION: Learn to establish a daily practice to increase energy & focus, decrease depression & pain, & feel better; Monday-Friday, 6:30-7:30 am Breath Practices & Meditation; 7:30-8:30 am Yoga (begins 1/2/12). Instructor Bart Church, has studied yoga for more than 25 years & been a Raja & Iyengar-trained Yoga teacher for more than 16 years. Manifest NE Studio.

QIGONG: Gentle movement & shaking, breathwork, visualization & meditation to balance & increase your energy, heal your body, improve mood, & restore playful fun in your life. Mondays weekly, 6:00-7:30pm (begins 1/2/12). Taught by Ryan Powell, who has practiced QiGong for 13 years & taught for 5 years. Manifest NE Studio.

MEN’S MASSAGE EXCHANGE: Learn simple tech-niques from licensed massage therapists, and then practice giving & receiving relaxing, healing massage with several men on professional tables in a warm, safe, comfortable atmosphere. Mondays weekly, 7:45-9:45 pm (begins 1/2/12). Facilitators: Licensed Massage Therapists Christopher Boothby (1st Mondays), Felix Roth (2nd Monday), Peter Martin (3rd Mondays), Kent Tsai (4th Mondays), David Flynn (5th Mondays). TUESDAYS

THERAPEUTIC YOGA & MEDITATION: Monday-Friday, 6:30-8:30 am. Manifest NE Studio.

TANTRIC YOGA: Beginning & experienced students learn practical stretching, breathing & meditation techniques to improve strength, flexibility, immunity, mood, & energy. 8 Tuesdays weekly, 6:00-7:30 pm (begins 1/10/12). Instructor Keith Loop, a Certified Yoga Instructor, Ayurvedic Practitioner/LMT and Chinese Medical Student. Manifest NE Studio.

FIT CLUB: Learn a holistic approach to fitness through strength training, cardio workouts, yoga stretching, nutrition, and rigorous investigation of who you are, who you want to be, & how to really embody wellness, love & awe. FREE Intro Tuesday, 1/17/12, 6:30-8:00 pm. Instructor Denny Richard is a certified Personal Trainer & Yoga Teacher. Peaceful Roots Yoga Studio, 1314 NW Irving St; Suite 511; Portland.

SHAMANIC & ENERGY HEALING CLASS: Learn & practice Reiki, ritual, dream work, dance, chanting, singing, visualization, breath work, & other tools to connect with authentic healing energy. Tuesdays weekly, 7:45-9:30 pm (begin 1/5/12). Facilitator: Lance DeMuth is a Reiki Master & Certified Yoga Instructor. Manifest NE Studio.

WEDNESDAYS

HERBALISM & NUTRITION CLASS: Learn practical strategies for improving sexual vitality & hormonal balance, immunity (flus/colds/ allergies), digestion (weight loss/indigestion/ulcers), mood (stress/depresssion/anxiety/addictions), chronic pain (back/ arthritis), blood sugar (Diabetes & hypoglycemia). 8 Wednesdays weekly, 7:00-9:00 pm (begins 1/11/12). FIT CLUB: Learn a holistic approach to fitness through strength training, cardio workouts, yoga stretching, nutrition, and rigorous investigation of who you are, who you want to be, & how to really embody wellness, love & awe. TIME MANAGEMENT CLASS: Turn Your True Priorities into Action & Results. Learn essential skills & establish healthy time management habits based on your own values and goals. Work with a coach who specializes in personal and professional development in an interactive learning environment. 6 Thursdays, 6:00-7:30 pm (begins 2/23/12). Intructor Jill Nelson,M.B.A., has been a relationship and business coach with individuals & small businesses for six years, and is President of the Portland Area Business Association. PRACTICAL HYPNOTHERAPY: TURN RESOLUTIONS INTO RESULTS: Learn how to use simple hypnotherapy techniques to enlist your unconscious to help you lose weight, overcome depression/anxiety, deal with chronic pain, find & improve love relationships, and achieve your wildest dreams. 8 Thursdays weekly, 7:45-9:30 pm (begins 1/5/12). Instructor Jared Campbell is a Certified Hypnotherapist & Life Coach. Manifest NE Studio.

FRIDAYS

THERAPEUTIC YOGA & MEDITATION: Monday-Friday, 6:30-8:30 am. Manifest NE Studio.

ART OF DEEP RELAXATION: Using principles from yoga, Breema, & meditation, to learn simple ways to relax over tennis & other balls to trigger deep relaxation in muscle, fascia, & emotional holding patterns. Fridays weekly, 7:00-8:30 pm (begins 1/13/12). Instructor Scott Johnson has extensive training in Breema, yoga, bodywork, & meditation. Manifest Studio.

SATURDAYS

COOKING & EATING WELL CLASS: In this hands-on class learn to plan, prepare, & enjoy easy, quick, healthy, & delicious meals made from whole foods. You’ll learn vegan, vegetarian, & omnivorous options, as well as where to find the cheapest, highest quality, nutritious & most local ingredients. Saturdays, 10:00 am-12:00 pmish (begins 1/7/12). Instructor Thomas Manthey has been a professional chef, gardener, & master chocolate dessert maker. Manifest NE Studio.

COMMUNITY CELEBRATION/GENERAL ASSEMBLY: Join Manifest members, instructors, participants, & their friends & allies for a general assembly & potluck lunch/supper & celebration each month. We will examine what is working in men’s wellness community, what could work better, what our dreams are, & what we’re going to do different as individuals & a community in the next month to foster the kinds of wellness community we want. 2nd Saturdays, 2:00-5:00 pm (begins 1/14/12). SUNDAYS

LIFE COACHING GROUP: Join a team to help you prioritize & get into action on the things you most want in your life—in relationships, school, work, health, & having fun. Each week you’ll celebrate what’s working, ask for help with challenges/ distractions, & prioritize concrete next steps. Sundays weekly, 4:00-5:30 pm (begins 1/8/12). Co-Facilitated by Thomas Manthey & Michael St. John, who are both business owners & entrepreneurs. Manifest NE Studio

WANDERLUST FITNESS CYCLING GROUP: Have fun exploring Portland by bike in this fitness ride that usually ends with (optional) group dinner; Sundays weekly, 4:30-6:00 pm-ish. Facilitator: Benjamin Gerritz, a native Portlander & long-time urban cyclist. Meet at Whole Foods (NE 15th & Fremont).
