The Personal Training Group may resume in the fall.

EveryDay Fitness Studio

With the help of an experienced personal trainer and committed group of men, turn your wellness goals into fun, easy, effective aerobics, weight-training & nutrition. At a deeper level, discover your life passions (your purposes), and create a training program and team to make them real.  David Scheer, a Certified Personal Trainer & Aikido Teacher, loves to help men make exercise and nutrition a fun, easy, and regular part of your life.  You need to either attend a Sunday intro or schedule a private session with the instructor, create your purpose & goals, and then enroll in the regular morning training classes.

PERSONAL TRAINING INTROS:  The next one on our schedule is Sunday 5/24. 7:00-8:30 pm; $10-$15/session sliding scale
PERSONAL TRAINING ON-GOING CLASSES:  Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays weekly, 7-8 am, begin 4/27/09; $7-$15/session

INSTRUCTOR:  David Scheer has over 20 years experience in Fitness and Recreation.  American Council on Exercise Certified Personal Trainer, and Life Style Weight Management Consultant.  International Fitness Association Certified Sports Nutritionist; Certified Aikido Instructor for 15 years.

GOALS:
•  Discover your deeper purpose for becoming healthier & fit—what do you really care about, what’s important to you?
•  Identify your own goals for your body and your health.
•  Learn which exercises address your goals and how to perform then correctly to optimize results.
•  Learn the FITT principles: Frequency, Intensity, Time, and Type, and understand how these principles determine the result of your exercise routine.

•  Warm up
•  Weight training
•  Cool down
•  Stretching

WHAT TO WEAR/HOW TO PREPARE FOR CLASS:  Wear/bring comfortable gym clothes.  Eat a small carbohydrate snack before class, and bring a protein snack to eat after.
Shower available after each morning class.

INFO:  If you have questions about the class, contact David Scheer at (503) 290-4747.  Space is limited, so after registering, let David know if you are not going to attend or want to bring a friend.  Everyone must register in advance.  After registering, you’ll receive a confirmation email that will give you a little homework, let you know the address of the studio, driving & mass transit directions, and how to prepare for the class.
