There will then by a 2-week break, after which class will resume on Mon., Jan. 24.

Emei Shamanic Qigong is the ancient Chinese practice for self healing and spiritual cultivation.  In this class we will practice body postures and movements and breathing techniques which help to open the body’s energy channels (meridians) and return the energy (Qi) to its free flowing state.  The dedicated practice of Shamanic Qigong will support your life on every level, bringing higher levels of energy, clarity and wellness to your present moment.

GOALS:  To help students learn a simple, powerful Qigong form which will be the foundation for a daily practice of Qigong.

ACTIVITIES:  Movement, Breathwork, Visualization, Daoist philosophy and Meditation.

BENEFITS participants can expect:  Practicing Qigong can help to bring out and heal old, deep seated patterns of dis-ease within the bodymind, resulting in greater levels of energy, clarity, and peace.  This is a Grounding practice, helping one to remember one’s ‘home within the body’.

FACILITATOR:  Ryan Powell, who has been practicing Qigong for 13 years.  Ryan has been a dedicated student of Qigong Master Zhongxian Wu since 2002 and has traveled to China with his teacher to deepen his connection and understanding of the roots of Qigong.  He has been teaching Shamanic Qigong and Taiji for five years in the Pacific NW through weekly classes and weekend workshops.
