Learn how to rebuild and maintain deep immunity and health using herbs and nutrition. Each class will focus on a different important topic, from immunity to hormones and sexuality. Every class will include action steps you can take right now, and hands-on demonstrations of simple herbal preparation techniques. You’ll learn cutting edge approaches to herbalism and nutrition that will empower you to take care of your own health.

ACTIVITIES: Interactive talks on subjects including herbalism, nutrition, and social and environmental factors that affect men (and everyone) today.

Week 1 (1/15):  IMMUNITY (Addressing Colds, Flus, Allergies, etc)
- Introduction to Herbalism (Lore and Practice)
- Building Deep, Adaptive Immunity with herbs and nutrition
- In-Class Activity: Learn how to make powerful herbal infusions and decoctions that restore and build deep immunity (will use Cat’s Claw, Pau D’Arco, Chaga and Nettles,)

Week2 (1/22):  DIGESTIVE HEALTH (Addressing Weight Loss, Heart Burn/Indigestion, Irritable Bowel, Ulcers, Food Allergies, Diabetes, etc)
- How to use Herbs and Nutrition to cleanse and regenerate in ways that won’t interfere with your life
- The critical role cleansing plays in maintaining the health of your hormones, digestion, immunity and more
- In-Class Activity: Simple, effective cleansing activities you can do every day, and how to create inexpensive herbal cleansing tonics at home (will make ginger turmeric tea in class)

Week 3 (1/29):  MOOD, STRESS AND ANXIETY (Addressing Depression, Anxiety, Stress-induced Pain, etc)
- Herbalism and Nutrition to improve Mood and prevent/address Anxiety &/or depression
- Mood, Immunity & Adaptation: How the change of seasons, nutrition, immune system and lifestyle factors impact our moods
- The importance of Adaptivity and how it relates to mood and stress
- In-Class Activity: Learn hands-on how to prepare and use herbs (such as Reishi, Mucuna, Ashwagandha, Oat Straw) and nutrition to better handle stress in your life

Week 4 (2/5):  SEXUALITY & HORMONES, PART ONE:  Nutritional Strategies (Addressing Erectile Dysfunction, Low Testosterone, Fatigue, Lack of Passion, Etc.)
- Hormones and Sexuality: A Cutting Edge Nutritional Perspective
- Learn about damaging phyto and xeno-estrogens and how to avoid them
- Ancient and Modern strategies to rebuild vital power and core strength
- How Hormones influence Immunity and the Mind
- In-Class Activity: Learn hands-on how to prepare strong tinctures of inexpensive local herbs (such as Nettle Root) for hormonal health and rejuvenation

Week 5 (2/12):  SEXUALITY & HORMONES, PART TWO:  Eastern Herbal Strategies (Addressing Erectile Dysfunction, Low Testosterone, Fatigue, Lack of Passion, Etc.)
- Hormones and Sexuality: an Eastern Herbal perspective
- The Ancient Taoist principle of the Three Treasures, and how it can be applied for increased strength, happiness and virility
- Advanced Herbal and Nutritional approaches for rebuilding and balancing hormones
- In-Class Activity: Continued from the last class, covering more ways of building strength and hormonal vitality (will learn to make a decoction of Rehmannia, Ho Shou Wu, Goji Berries, Astragalus)

Week 6 (2/19): COURSE RECAP, Q&A AND TONIC MAKING
- Recap and more in-depth discussion of the topics covered in the previous classes
- Individualized herbal preparations for class attendants
- Extra time will be given for answering personal health and herbalism questions!
- In-Class Acitvity: Learn how to tailor your herbal preparations to address your personal concerns. Plus, hot herbal drinks for everyone! (Ho Shou Wu-Vanilla-Chocolate Milk)

eek 7 (2/26): PRACTICAL HERBALISM: A hands-on class on advanced herbal preparation and theory in more detail.

Week 8 (3/5):  PRACTICAL NUTRITION: How and Why to Eat for Maximum Energy - how to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner to maximize daily energy, ease digestion and promote hormonal strength.

FACILITATOR: Max Floyd has spent 7 years passionately studying health, nutrition and herbalism from every angle. As a teenager he suffered with many health challenges and (unable to find any help using mainstream approaches) he finally learned how to overcome them using natural methods. He now shares his perspective as someone who has restored his health and vitality using herbalism and self-care.
